Basic information for Members and
Guidelines for Entering Digital Images
The following are guidelines for members to follow regarding digital and printed media for our club critique.
Minor blemishes or imperfections may be corrected.
Modifications such as resizing, cropping, selective lightening/darkening, sharpening and hue/saturation are permissible
Minor adjustments as above must appear natural.
All images submitted for critique must be the work of the member submitting.
Colour images are those containing more than one colour. This also includes monotone images that have been partially coloured.
Monochrome images are those containing only one shade of colour eg black, red etc.
There is no age limit for images submitted for critique
All images presented for slideshows or critique must adhere to the resizing rules.
The required image size for projected digital images 1920 x 1200 pixels.
Portrait: must have the longest side of no greater than 1200 pixels, or those in square format
Landscape images or panoramas the longest side must be no greater than
1920 pixels and 300dpi maximum density.
Maximum file size is 2MB
All images presented for critique must adhere to the file naming rules.
Digital images should be labelled as follows:
with your shortened name/surname (maximum 6 letters)with a total maximum of 35, subject abbreviation and image title something meaningful to the image
with no ‘underscores’, no ‘spaces’, no ’numbers’,
ie: an image for the nature subject would be labelled:
- SueRasNaBlueRobin
When judging is by PSQ accredited judges then images will be awarded as follows;
